Where the forest meets the sea

The Experience

Tucked among the pines,
steps from the sea

At the end of a quiet gravel road in Manzanita, past where the pavement ends and the shore pines lean with the wind, you’ll find a cedar-shake house that feels like it grew here. Open the door to soaring beams, warm wood, and windows framing nothing but trees and sky.

Walk out and follow the sandy path through the dunes. In three minutes you’re standing on seven miles of wide, wild beach — usually with no one in sight. Build a driftwood fire. Watch the sun sink behind Neahkahnie Mountain. Let the kids run until they can’t.

Come back to the wood stove, pour something warm, and settle in under linen duvets while the Pacific puts you to sleep.

The house was perfect for an annual trip to the coast with two other couples and our rescue pup Winston. We cooked fabulous meals, walked on the beach, and spent time together in a comfy place with all that we needed and then some. The ping pong table was an added bonus — so much fun!

What a beautiful home! The kitchen was incredibly well equipped for us to make Christmas dinner. Bedrooms were lovely and just a short walk down the street to the beach. Highly recommend!

This is a really wonderful place to set up a basecamp, explore Manzanita and all the beautiful trails nearby, but not be right in the middle of the bustle of that adorable downtown. The house had everything we needed and plenty of space for our group of 4–5.

We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend at this beach cabin. Walking distance to the beach and the city has a nice path from the house to the town. I wish we brought our bike.
